Martin and the band came to play at our wedding reception in December and what a great night we had! They were absolutely fantastic. We were supposed to have a DJ but due to an unforeseen incident they couldn’t make it, Martin and the band were extremely professional and accommodating in these circumstances & throughout the evening ensured that we had music and entertainment beyond what had been contractually agreed and all with a smile. Their music was brilliant, everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed the dances and commented on how much fun it was. Would recommend them for any type of event at the drop of a hat, thank you again for making our special day one we won’t forget - for all the right reasons :)

What a night with Silver Street Ceilidh Band. I knew Martin from an event I organised 2 years ago for St Patrick. The line up has slightly changed since then but it was absolutely phenomenal. We organised a fundraiser for our school. Guests were at first very shy but as soon as the band started to play everybody warmed up very quickly and the night was excellent. Martin was a great caller and made everyone at ease. I could not recommend them enough. Great communication before the event, arrived on time, discreet, great music. Such a great experience. We will definitely booked them again for our next event.

Martin, Beth, Joe & Will played for us on Saturday 25th January 2020 to celebrate a 50th Birthday come Burns night Ceilidh. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Exactly the right blend of music and instructions which if you've ever been to a Ceilidh you'll know can be a tough balancing act. Our party of around 80 total novices had so much fun and I've had nothing but praise for the band and their ability to somehow keep us vaguely organised. We looked at a number of options before deciding to go with the Silver Street guys and can only say we definitely made the right choice. When you're trying to organise a big party you need people that swim with you and take care of the smaller details. It makes such a difference to whether things are successful. Martin and his colleagues most certainly did that. If Ceilidh is your thing and if like us lot everybody is willing but had no idea what they were supposed to do, Silver Street will look after you and make sure everybody has a great time. Watching the videos taken on phones over the course of the evening makes me laugh out loud. A memory making evening for sure and an experience everyone will look back on with the broadest of smiles. Thank you so much guys for being the glue that somehow held us all together. If we do it again (and i've no doubt we will) there's only one call I need to make. Big round of applause, you made a certain birthday girl very very happy!

We used Silver Street for mine and my husband's joint 40th birthday party and they were excellent! Prompt and professional to deal with and they provided the most fantastic memorable ceilidh experience. I picked Silver Street because I read another review that said Martin (who pays the fiddle and calls the ceilidh) strikes a really good balance of teaching the guests enough to enjoy the dances but not so much as it becomes serious/tedious - this was spot on. Immense fun had by all, with guests ranging from 5-77 years! Thank you Martin, Beth, Joe and Will.

Had Silver Street Ceilidh band for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. The standard of the musicianship, the choice of music and dances was totally on point. They played for over two hours with barely a break! The standard of the calling was brilliant, just enough instruction to get everyone generally moving in the right direction but not enough to get in the way of the fun. For lots of my guests it was their first ceilidh and they are now keen to go to more. They will be disappointed when they realise that not every ceilidh band is as excellent as Silver Street!

Fantastic Night. The group are so easy to work with and professional before the night and then soo much fun on the night. Great musicians and music. Able to create a wonderful atmosphere and encourage the most timid dancer to join in.

Great, lively music from a friendly and professional band.Martin and I had a good chat through things over the phone in advance of our wedding to answer some of my questions and work out a few logistics and finer details. Martin was very reassuring and accommodating and followed up promptly with details as promised.On the big day, the band were fantastic. They got themselves set up and adapted without any trouble to a delayed start (our meal had overrun). The music sounded great and the calling was really clear and with just the right amount of explanations to get everyone dancing and more or less(!) doing the right things whilst still keeping things moving nicely.Nearly all our guests, young and old, ended up getting stuck in, which was great fun and made our day extra memorable for everyone.Highly recommended!

This band were absolutely brilliant for our wedding. They set up professionally and efficiently, I didn't have to do a thing! Martin was not available but the caller he sourced for us, Clare, was brilliant. There were loads of people who had never done a ceilidh before and she remained fun, upbeat, patient, clear and light hearted. Everyone absolutely loved it and we are so grateful for such an awesome experience at our wedding. Huge huge thanks and wishing I could give 100 stars!

My wife and I hired the Silver Street band to celebrate our wedding at a pub in central London. Martin and the band were great! They were very responsive in correspondence before the event and left me in no doubt that they understood what we were after.The dance it itself was fantastic! Silver Street Ceilidh Band played last night at our school fundraiser and were absolutely amazing. As musicians they are superb and they had the floor full all night. Martin was a fantastic caller and everyone was able to join in. What was supposed to be a ‘one-off’ charity night may now become a yearly event. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Silver Street Ceilidh band played at our August wedding and were fantastic. We were running behind and they were very flexible - agreeing to play much later than originally agreed. Martin was great at calling - giving clear , easy to follow instructions and playing the (slightly boisterous) crowd very nicely. The whole band were really friendly and played great music with natural ease. I would 100% recommend!!!

Best ceilidh ever! Had so much fun ceilidh-ing with these guys at our wedding, they got everyone up dancing and enjoying themselves and we had lots of positive comments from our guests. Lively music, clear Caller and the band was very patient considering we were running very behind with timings. Highly recommend :-)

Silver Street played at my wedding at the end of June and made an amazing day even more perfect! Hannah's calling was perfectly pitched, meaning that newbies and long-established ceilidhers were all up and dancing together, and the music was sublime. They were so helpful and friendly, and worked really well with the venue as well. 15/10, would 100% recommend!

Silver Street gave me my first Ceilidh experience and it was a blast! Clear directions, pitch perfect music and buckets of enthusiasm meant I got involved and had a great time despite my two left feet.

This is a great band, very accomplished and Martin is a very good caller as well as being a brilliant violinist! All players did a great job, the music is lively and the pace is just right. We enjoyed a great evening of dancing at our friends’ marriage a few weeks ago, it was fun throughout. Highly recommend!

Fantastic evening with Silver Street Ceilidh Band at our wedding on 16 June. Excellent music, clear instructions for each of the (well chosen) dances. Lots of positive comments from guests - experienced and novice ceilidh dancers alike. A great time was had by all! Gill
